 In addition to the above the Board agreed:

  1.  that for aquatics and athletics CGAs may enter a maximum of 2 athletes in any one event i.e. subject to adhering to overall quota places allocated;
  2. that CGAs wishing to compete within the rugby sevens competitions will be required to confirm such 1 year prior to the Games. If oversubscribed then the CGF will confer with the IRB on the final selection of teams on the basis of home nation participation and representation from at least 3 regions;
  3. that CGAs will be required to submit entries by event 6 months out from the Games and based upon a review of CGA submissions any event with less than 6 entries will be removed from the programme at that time;
  4. that taking into account the 1,000 cap on overall athlete numbers initial quota allocations to CGAs will be on the basis of an initial allocation of 4 athletes per CGA (284 athletes), the allowance for Rugby 7’s (144 athletes) with the remaining 572 athlete positions being allocated on a pro-rata basis set against participation levels at the previous Commonwealth Games albeit adjusted for the previous host. Further details will be provided on this at the General Assembly later this year; and
  5. entry by name will be required 3 months prior to the commencement of the Games.

[1] Current planning provides for the inclusion of relay events however the final format of these will be determined once overall individual entries are known.
