The SamoaCYG2015 will provide free catering services for 1,000 athletes and 250 accompanying team officials from 03 – 13 September 2015, inclusive. Meals will be available to extra team officials at a prescribed rate.
Breakfast is provided each morning at the relevant Team Accommodation Venues; this applies to Teams staying at Samoa College and LDS Church College as well as all hotel properties. Breakfast areas at college accommodations are temporary overlay tented areas while hotel properties use pre-existing facilities.
Lunch and dinner for Athletes, Team Officials, Technical Officials, CGF Executive Board and staff as well CGA Presidents and Secretary Generals will be served at the Tuana’imato Dining Hall at the Tuana’imato Sports Facility. Accompanying Guests are not accredited to dine at Tuana’imato Dining Hall.
Food service at the Tuana’imato Dining Hall will be served in a blended buffet/cafeteria style manner (see indicative image below). Food will be labelled with contents for nutritional knowledge, allergy alerts and cultural sensitivities. Hot dishes will be spread over four buffet islands with two buffet lines each. Food service staff will be on hand to serve meals providing up to two servings of the three available hot foods as well as side dishes. Cold food items such as salads and fruit will be served on a large self-serve island centred within the serving area. All salads and fruit, such as papaya, mango, grapes and pineapple will be pre-portioned into glass/ceramic bowls. Other fruits such as apples, oranges, pears and bananas will be readily available from the cold buffet serving island. Desserts will also be offered through self-serve stations comprised of multiple clear top chest freezers containing ice cream, portioned cakes and other baked goods. Condiments, such as tomato sauce, mustard, salt/pepper, Samoan chilli sauce, and when applicable Parmesan cheese, will be situated on all dining tables.
In addition to the two hot and cold beverage stations (shown above) there are another two hot and cold beverage stations located on the other side of the Dining Hall.
Halal certified meats will be served and vegetarian dishes will be prepared and cooked in separate areas to avoid cross contamination.
National Health Service (NHS) Food Technicians will inspect and test meals three times a day.

*Exception: 05 September (Opening Ceremony) and 11 September (Closing Ceremony)
Pre-packed lunches and dinners for those who are unable to dine at the Tuana’imato Dining Hall, due to competition requirements, will be arranged with Catering. Procedures for ordering and collection will be distributed by email by 15 August as well as provided at your DRM.
Pre-packed lunches and dinners will be individually packaged cold only meals and will be transported and stored in a cooler / portable ice chest / ‘esky’.
Please note, for those Team members arriving prior to 03 September, due to Team or travel requirements, there will be no food service available at the Tuana’imato Dining Hall. Team members are responsible for their own dining requirements prior to that date. For those Team members departing post 13 September, due to Team or travel requirements, there will be no food service available at the Tuana’imato Dining Hall. This will be dealt with on an individual basis.
Athlete Lounges will be provided for Athletes and Team Officials in-competition only at each Sporting Venue with light snacks and refreshments. Athlete Lounges are also available during training hours.
Technical Official Lounges will be provided for Technical Officials on-duty only at each Sporting Venue with light snacks and refreshments. Technical Officials Lounges are only open during competition and pre-competition hours.
All accredited Games Family members will be provided with light snacks, finger foods and refreshments throughout the day at Games Family Lounges at each Sporting Venue and the flagship hotel.

Provision will also be made for pre-ordered takeaway lunches of which there will be a pro-forma Order Form to be completed and tendered by the Team Manager 24 hours prior to being required.
